BLACK SLATE

BLACK SLATE

general description

The Brazilian Slate is a fine-grained metamorphic rock, with a laminar structure, extracted through a splitting process (foliation), mined in the state of Minas Gerais. Due to the homogeneity of its coloring, smooth texture, ease of maintenance and affordable prices, slates stand out as an excellent option for various applications. As it is a light-weighted stone, with low water absorption and thermal and acoustic insulation, it is used on roofs, flooring and kitchen counters and much appreciated by architects.
